BLS/PALS Renewal Combo Course

This course is designed for healthcare professionals who hold a valid AHA PALS provider card that is within 90 days of expiration. Students will receive a didactic review and hands-on practice of both the BLS and PALS courses. Competency will be assessed through Mega Code Station skills testing and written exams. This is a FULL day course with BLS in the morning, and PALS in the afternoon.

 BLS Course Covers:

• Adult and pediatric CPR
• Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
• Foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)
• Automated external defibrillation (includes child AED update)
• Special resuscitation situations
• Other cardiopulmonary emergencies
• Stroke and cardiac arrest 

PALS Provider Renewal covers:

• 1 and 2 rescuer child/infant CPR and AED use
• Management of respiratory emergencies
• Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy
• Vascular access
• Resuscitation team concept
• Cardiac, respiratory, shock case discussions, and stimulations
• Systematic approach to pediatric assessment

The PALS Course is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be both a team member and a Team Leader in either an in-hospital or an out-of-hospital setting. Because the PALS Course covers extensive material in a short time, you will need to prepare for the course beforehand.

You must also note your Title and Department in the comments section.  Failure to do so can result in cancellation of your registration.
