Note: Others or non-nursing professionals may take this program if initiating, managing, and discontinuing IVs if it is within the scope of practice; however, your license/certification must delineate that IV therapy is within your scope of practice. For example, MA's in NYS can not start IV but are allowed in Texas. Each state has its laws, rules, scope of practice, and regulations; therefore, it is your responsibility to check with your state board if this IV course conforms to the laws, regulations, and scope of practice for your credential in your state.
